Liverpool Direct Limited (LDL)

This is a joint venture partnership with BT which was set up in 2001. LDL employs 1,100 staff and is responsible for delivering the following services:

  • ICT solutions, platform management and web services.
  • Contact centre development and management.
  • Business support services (financial and commercial).
  • Human Resources, Employee and organisational development and payroll.
  • One stop shops.
  • Revenues and benefits service.
  • Geodata.

Enterprise-Liverpool

Created in 2002 this partnership delivers a number of street scene services on behalf of the council including:

  • Highway maintenance.
  • Street lighting maintenance.
  • Street cleansing.
  • Highway verge and open space maintenance.
  • Refuse and recycling collection.
  • Alleygate installation and maintenance..

20/20 Liverpool

This partnership with Mouchel Parkman Consultancy was established in 2003 with three portfolios:

  • Estates – property management and valuations of social housing.
  • Buildings – public and private sector commissions on building projects.
  • Public Realm – providing technical services and traffic systems design.

Geraud Liverpool Markets

We operate a number of retail markets via our partnership with Geraud Markets Liverpool Ltd (GMLL). GMLL operates two permanent markets and five casual markets across the city, as well as a number of farmers markets and speciality market events.

Glendale Liverpool

Our partnership with Glendale started in 2006 to provide specialist horticultural maintenance across the city’s parks, sports facilities and cemeteries.

Bulky Bobs Household Waste

Bulky Bobs household collection service is a social enterprise business that collects furniture and white goods to be re-used, recycled or restored. It helps the council with training opportunities in the local community.

Sofas and chairs are re-upholstered, electrical goods repaired and wooden furniture restored, before being made available for lower-income families to buy at a much lower cost.
