Who should register?
If you operate a motor salvage business in Liverpool you must register it with the council.
How to apply
- Download, complete and return the motor salvage application form.
- Download, complete and return the police enquiry form.
Fees
Please enclose a cheque for £70, made payable to Liverpool City Council.
Post the application forms and cheque to the Licensing Unit.
How long does registration last for?
Registration will last for 3 years from date of issue and all re-applications have to be made at least 2 months prior to expiry of their current licence.
Changes in application
The registered person must give any information of changes from their original application in writing within 28 days. Any motor salvage operator who ceases to operate as such must inform the council within 28 days of the date on which they cease to trade.
Failure to comply with the regulations will be an offence and liable on summary conviction to a fine of up to £1000.
