The Covenant Fund

The Covenant Fund was launched in 2015 and offers grants to community projects which support members of the armed forces.

Each year there is a total of £10m available. Priorities are set each year and successful projects will need to show that they fulfil them.

The funding priorities for April 2016 to March 2017 and April 2017 to March 2018 are as follows:

  • Priority 1: Veterans’ Gateway (2016/2017 only).
  • Priority 2: Families in stress.
  • Priority 3: Strengthening local government delivery of the covenant.
  • Priority 4: Community integration/delivery of local services.

How to apply

Further information on the priorities, eligibility and application process can be found on the guidance page. If you have any questions which are not covered by the guidance, you can contact the Covenant Grant Team by email.

Applications for grants for projects in Liverpool should also be linked to the city’s Joint Strategic Needs Assessment for Military Veterans which forms the work plan for Liverpool’s Making it Happen Group for Armed Forces Communities.

Funding is limited, so only the very best projects will be successful. But remember, this is an enduring fund so there will be future opportunities to apply.
