As a wholly owned subsidiary of Liverpool City Council, we sit at the heart of creating exceptional standards of environmental cleanliness and public realm services for residents, communities and local businesses across the city of Liverpool. As a direct service provider, we are responsible for the refuse and recycling collection service, street cleansing, grounds maintenance and highways maintenance contracts. In October 2018 we also take on the Parks & Green Spaces maintenance. These services are key to ensuring the city remains clean, green and accessible to all, helping to develop and maintain local civic pride.
Liverpool is a unique place to live, work and learn and over the two years months we have established and started to grow our own company. The company ensures we can flexibly adapt our services to meet the aspirations of the city, whilst realising significant efficiencies and service improvements. This recruitment campaign is an integral part in the development of our company and is an opportunity for successful candidates to become part of a new dynamic team which will help shape the future of our company and the services we deliver.
We are ambitious, both as an organisation and as a city. Our plans for growth coupled with the high standards that we set for our services requires exceptionally talented individuals who will be enthusiastic about being part of this new era. Expert skills in the key strategic areas of our business are central to our requirements. However, these must also be accompanied by strong leadership capabilities to ensure that the services provided are led effectively in partnership with the council and unions in the future.
The expectations rightly placed on us by our stakeholders and communities alike means we will demand a lot in order to achieve the outcomes required. As the chair of the board and one of the three directors charged with making this new venture a success, I look forward to hearing from you if you think your ambition matches ours and you have the skills and knowledge to rise to this challenge. Our achievements together will directly improve the look and feel of our city, making it greener and cleaner for the residents and communities of Liverpool.
