As a wholly owned subsidiary of Liverpool City Council, we sit at the heart of creating exceptional standards of environmental cleanliness for residents, communities and local businesses across the city of Liverpool. As a direct service provider, we are responsible for the refuse and recycling collection service, street cleansing and grounds maintenance contracts. These services are key to ensuring the city remains clean and green, helping to develop and maintain local civic pride.
Liverpool is a unique place to live, work and learn and over the last nine months we have established our own company to ensure we can flexibly adapt our services to meet the aspirations of the city, whilst realising significant efficiencies and service improvements. Chief Operating Officer, circa £95,000 plus benefits

To be our Chief Operating Officer you will have substantial strategic senior management experience in public realm services and a demonstrable record of achieving success and influencing outcome based results at a senior level in a comparable organisation.
With exemplary leadership, communication and negotiation skills, you will have a demonstrable record of building positive working relationships with a range of stakeholders and have the ability to lead and motivate staff to achieve objectives in a demanding, changing and political environment.

Central to the requirements for our heads of roles are individuals with substantial senior management experience in street cleansing and/or refuse collection. You will have demonstrable experience of improving services, implementing and managing change programmes in a comparable field and will have extensive experience of building positive working relationships with a range of stakeholders using exemplary interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
You will also have extensive people and project management skills with the ability to manage and motivate staff to achieve desired outcomes.
