Alcohol and tobacco - report illegal trading

The council's Alcohol and Tobacco Unit targets the illegal importation and distribution of alcohol and tobacco products.

We work closely with partner agencies such as Merseyside Police and HMRC .

We investigate trade and consumer complaints, carry out routine inspections at licensed premises and take enforcement action when needed.
