Consultation on the possible introduction of a SCIP on County Road/City Road

Consultation on the possible introduction of a SCIP on County Road/City Road

Start date: 8th June 2017.
End date: 10th August 2017.

We want your views on the possible introduction of a Special Cumulative Impact Policy (SCIP) in respect of County Road, Walton on the Hill and City Road, L4, which would limit the number of premises in the area that sell alcohol off the premises and provide late night refreshment.

What is a SCIP?

A SCIP is put in place when the cumulative impact of the number, type and density of licensed premises in an area may have a negative effect on public safety, crime, disorder and children's safety.

They were initially introduced as a tool to limit new premises from opening, and to stop existing licensed premises from varying their licences in a way cause further problems for those living or working in the area.

How do I comment?
