Liverpool Listens

Liverpool City Council are committed to involving the community in what the Council does and we are making it easier for local people to have their say by inviting them to join Liverpool Listens - our new online citizens’ panel.

What is a Citizens' Panel?

The panel will be a group of people from across Liverpool who are interested in giving their views on local public services.  Members will be kept informed about new consultations so that they can take part.

Liverpool Listen's panel members will be asked for their views on a wide range of council services from libraries to licensing.  If you are also interested in giving your views on Adult Care Services take a look at the Liverpool Adult Care Citizens Panel which is dedicated to consultation and engagement activities which will influence the delivery of adult care services in Liverpool.

How do I join?

It takes a few minutes to join online.  Anyone aged 18 or over who lives in Liverpool and has an email address can join.

Register for the Panel.

If you have any questions about joining our panel, please contact Vicky.nowak@liverpool.gov.uk or telephone Vicky Nowak on 225 2953.

You will be able to unsubscribe at any time.

What will I have to do?

Members will be sent information on new consultations along with links to online surveys.  You don’t have to fill them in, but we hope to build up a group of residents who are willing to tell us what they think about a wide range of topics.  The first task for the panel will be to complete an online survey about how we communicate.

We will send you regular email updates with the results from consultation you have been involved in and more information on how your feedback has been used.

Do I have to make a commitment?

NO.  By joining the panel you are giving us permission to contact you when we have a consultation that may be of interest – whether you take part is up to you. You’ll be getting the chance to have your say and take part in surveys and discussions.

Why are you using online surveys?

Using online surveys helps to reduce costs and increase opportunities for people to take part – it’s more environmentally friendly too!  Paper-based and face-to-face consultations will still also take place when appropriate.

What will you do with my information?

Feedback from the panel will be used to improve and develop what we do and deliver better services that meet Liverpool people’s needs.

We will store you details in accordance with the Data Protection Act:  We will keep your details confidential; no information will be passed to third parties without your permission and the information you provide will be used for research purposes only.
