More about MASH

Liverpool City Council and its core partner agencies have been working to develop MASH in the context of:

  • The Neglect Strategy – raising awareness of the impact of neglect on children and families, recognising and responding to early indicators of neglect and working purposefully with families where neglect is causing significant harm.
  • Revised Liverpool Safeguarding Children Board levels of need document.
  • The Early Help Strategy and the development of the Early Help Hubs.
  • A Combined Referral Document - development of a combined electronic Multi-Agency Referral Form (MARF) and Early Help Referral Form which guides referral agencies to the appropriate service e.g. Careline for safeguarding concerns or

Early Help Assessment Tool  (EHAT) for early support provision and removes duplication.
