Progress updates
The council must publish ‘real time’ information about the progress we are making with the Local Development Framework, rather than relying on the less frequently updated Annual Monitoring Report and Local Development Scheme.
We will update this page with information on where we are up to with the Local Development Framework.

Core Strategy
The initial Core Strategy Preferred Options Report was published for 6 weeks between 28 March and 9 May 2008 and over 500 representations were received. You can view all comments online together with the Preferred Options document and supporting information on our consultation website.
The Core Strategy Revised Preferred Options 2010 Report was approved for consultation by Executive Board on 4 January 2010. The consultation period ran from 1 February to 15 March 2010.
The submission draft Core Strategy was approved for consultation by the City Council on January 18th 2012. Publication will take place in March and following a six week consultation stage known as 'Representations on Soundness' and the consideration of the representations received it will be submitted for examination in July or August 2012. It is envisaged that it should be possible to adopt it in early 2013.
Land Allocations and City Wide Policies DPD
The Land Allocations and City Wide Policies DPD is a Liverpool wide document which will sit alongside the Core Strategy as part of the Local Development Framework and Local Plan for Liverpool. Progress has been linked to the preparation of the Core Strategy which has not been as quick as originally expected. An initial consultation stage, which will deal with issues and options, is envisaged towards the end of 2012 or early 2013.
Joint Merseyside Waste Development Plan Document
The Joint Merseyside Waste Development Plan proposed submission document was published on 25th November 2011 and ran for 8 weeks until January 20th 2012. The additional two weeks was to allow for Christmas holidays. In total 68 representations were received from 37 individuals and organisations. These can be viewed on the Waste DPD consultation portal. All the representations will be put before the Planning Inspector who will be examining the Waste DPD. He or she will determine the matters to be examined in detail at upcoming hearing sessions.
