What is family support?
Family support provides a range of services to promote and safeguard the welfare of families and young children in Liverpool. The service:
- Prevents the unnecessary accommodation of children and young people.
- Enables children and young people to live safely in the community.
- Enables looked after children to return home.
- Provides support to looked after children and young people to prevent placement breakdown.
- Provides a responsive service to black children and young people who are experiencing difficulty at home or who are looked after by the council.
- Helps families to access community resources to gain independence and social inclusion.
