Greenbank Park

Greenbank is a beautiful tranquil Green Flag park with an elegant, placid lake.

Facilities and attractions

The lake is the focal point of this open park. Visitors are able to fish whilst enjoying the nesting waterfowl and herons. Attractions also include:

  • Children’s playground (swings, roundabout, slide, climbing frames, see-saw).
  • Football pitches.
  • Well stocked fishing lake.
  • Mature trees and conservation area. 
  • Stone bridge at the northern end of the park. 
  • Local graffiti art project.
  • Walled garden.
  • Angling (permit registration required).
  • Active friends group.

Opening hours

The park is open all year round.  Walled garden is open daily from 10am to 5.45pm April to September and until 3.45pm October to March. The garden is closed on bank holidays.

How to get there

Pedestrian entrances are located on Greenbank Road, Greenbank Lane and Gorsebank Road close to Smithdown Road.
