Commission on Europe
Chaired by former deputy council leader Flo Clucas, it has made recommendations on how the city can maximise the benefit of EU funding from 2014-2020.
- identifies four strategic benefits which EU funding has brought to Liverpool over the past seventeen years, and illustrates these with thirteen “good practice” case studies.
- sets out a number of priorities for the 2014 -2020 EU programme.
- makes ten specific recommendations to ensure the maximum possible benefit to Liverpool and the city region from Europe and the new EU programme.
It has been shared with Liverpool City Region Cabinet and Liverpool Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP), and incorporated into on-going work at the city-region level to developed and deliver the new EU programme during 2014 – 2020.
