Paying for adult learning courses
The total fee payable for courses is detailed on our listed courses and in our brochure.
All English, maths and ESOL courses are free - please call 233 2568 to arrange an assessment before you enrol on one of these courses so we can place you in the correct group.
If a course costs £70 or more, you can ask to pay in instalments.
You can pay by debit or credit card, cheque or cash when you enrol at one of our main centres. You can also pay over the phone by calling our helpline on 0151 233 3026.
Please note: we cannot accept cash payments at Norris Green Adult Learning Centres (card payments only).
Free employability courses
Any of our listed courses marked with an * are employment related or lead to a nationally recognised qualification. If you receive Job Seekers Allowance, Employment Support Allowance (Work Related Activity Group only) or Universal Credit, these are free of charge unless it clearly states that the course is a ‘full cost course’.
Courses marked with ** are also employment related and in addition to the benefits listed above, if you receive Income Support, Housing/Council Tax Benefit, Working Tax Credit, ESA (Support Group) these are also free of charge unless it clearly states that it is a 'full cost course'.
To qualify you will need to show us proof of your benefit status. Proof we accept is a recently dated letter from a Job Centre Plus or similar clear evidence stating the benefit you claim.
Free Liverpool Learning Matters courses
Liverpool Learning Matters six-week courses focused on developing strategies to manage your wellbeing through learning are free to learners as are part of a national research project.
