School admission closing dates and late applications
The closing dates for applications for children due to start Primary school (Reception) or Secondary school (Year 7) in September 2024 are as follows.
- Secondary school application closing date - 31st October 2023.
- Primary school application closing date - 15th January 2024.
Please ensure that you have completed the online preference form AND returned any supplementary paper forms (where applicable) directly to your preferred schools by the closing date. You can apply online from 1st September 2023.
Late applications
If you miss the closing dates above you can submit a late application. The late application process opens the day after the official closing dates above.

Late preference forms
If your preference form is received after the official closing date we cannot guarantee to send the offer email/letter out on National Offer Day. Late applications are less likely to be offered a place at your preferred schools. National Offer Day for Year 7 is 1st March 2024 and Reception is 16th April 2024.
