UK Public Procurement Thresholds

Liverpool City Council must advertise its tenders in accordance with UK Public Sector Procurement Regulations where the expected value will exceed:

• £213,477 + for supplies, services and design contracts.
• £5,336,937 + for works contracts.
• £663,540 + for social and other specific services.

The above values are inclusive of VAT.

The council's own Contract Standing Orders state that in cases where expenditure on works, services or supplies is anticipated to be more than £25,000 a tendering exercise will be undertaken inviting not less than three organisations (wherever possible) to bid.

The council's own Contract Standing Orders state that in cases where expenditure on works, services or supplies is anticipated to be between £10,000 and £25,000 a quotation exercise will be undertaken inviting not less than three organisations (wherever possible) to bid.
