Housing and care homes
Access Liverpool provides properties which have been designed and built for disabled people.
The properties may have been adapted around the needs of previous tenants and all have a level access shower or wet room.
If you are disabled and need to find a suitable property you can apply to be placed on the Access Liverpool Register.
All applications are considered by an occupational therapist before you are accepted on to the register.
When will I be offered a property?
Adapted properties are limited and it may take a while for a property that meets your needs to become available.
What if I own my current home?
If you are offered an Access Liverpool property you must market your property for sale at the point of offer. You cannot sublet your property.
Adapting your home
If you can't get a property that has already been adapted, you may want to consider minor or major adaptations to your existing home.
Minor adaptations include grab rails, ramps or shower chairs to help with your independence and safety.
Major adaptations involve structural changes such as a level access shower, vertical lifts and hoists.
An occupational therapy assessment will look at what options might be best for you.
