We are offering online appointments with our trained advisers to help our customers who need more specialised help and advice with benefits issues.

When to book an online appointment

You should get answers to your benefits questions from the benefits section on this website or by contacting us online or by phone.

However, there may be times when you feel you need an online ‘face-to-face’ appointment. You can book an appointment to discuss one of the following options:

  • a benefits letter you have received
  • a housing benefit over payment
  • a council tax or housing benefit appeal or dispute

The adviser can only discuss the issue you select at the time of booking your appointment.

What technology will I need?

You should only need a desktop or mobile device with a web browser - either Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome.

In some cases, you may need to download and install free Microsoft Teams software and test it before you book an appointment.

What happens next?

We will send you an email confirming the time and date of your appointment along with details of how to cancel it, if you need to. 

A second email will be sent with the meeting link which you must use to join your appointment. Please check your junk folder if you don't see either email in your inbox.
