Without Walls - applications on hold

Due to the level of demand for this fund, we are not accepting new applications at the moment. When current submissions have been processed, we will reopen the fund if there is money left. Liverpool Without Walls Hospitality Fund

To help Liverpool’s restaurants and cafés re-open safely after lockdown and serve food outside, we are offering small grants for outdoor furniture such as:

  • tables
  • chairs
  • planters
  • outdoor parasols
  • outdoor heaters

Who can apply?

These grants are only for independent and small to medium-sized enterprises that pay business rates to Liverpool City Council and hold an existing street café licence or a free pavement licence.

In addition, your business must:

Chains or multinational business groups cannot apply. 

Businesses in Bold Street

Businesses in Bold Street will be supported by a separate pilot scheme and need not apply for this grant or a temporary street café licence. Read our Bold Street FAQs to find out more or email withoutwalls@liverpool.gov.uk.

How to apply

You can apply for a grant now if you hold a street café licence or have submitted an application for a pavement licence and meet all the eligibility criteria in our guidance - please read it carefully before you apply.

Applications are on hold for this fund until further notice.

How much will I get?

If your application is successful, the amount you get depends on the number of additional covers you generate through trading outside. The minimum award is £1,000 and the maximum is £4,000.
