Our activities

Sessions must be booked a week in advance each Monday unless otherwise stated, by calling 233 1200. Courses can be booked a week before start dates.

Monday 10am-3pm Winter Wonderland Christmas Grotto Kensington Life Bank, 23 Quorn Street, L7 2QR Monday 19th December, Tuesday 20th December, Wednesday 21st December, Thursday 22nd December. For children under 5 years, and their parents/carers who live in the Kensington and Picton wards. Book
Monday 11am-11.45am Baby Massage Picton CC 5 week course starting 12th September. For babies not yet crawling. Massage oils are provided, just bring a towel. Book
Monday 1.30pm-2.30pm Early Communication Group Picton CC 6 week course starting 19th September. Helps with development of speech and language. Places offered by invitation only by SEN worker. Invite only
Monday 1.30pm-2.30pm ESF - Ways to Work Programme Picton CC 12th September, 7th November, 15th December. Monthly sessions to help you return to work or training. Book
Monday 4.30pm-6.30pm Bump, Birth and Beyond Picton CC 2 week course on 19th and 26th September. Antenatal advice and support for expectant parents and their birthing partners. Book
Tuesday 10am-11.30am Fabulous Food Picton CC 5 week course starting 20th September. Fun course for parents and children to prepare and cook healthy meals together to encourage you and your child to eat healthily. Book
Tuesday 10am-10.45am Slow Cooker Class Picton CC 3 week course starting 1st November. Adult only cookery course to help you have fun learning to cook healthy one pot recipes. Free slow cooker for each family at the end. Book
Tuesday 11.30am-1pm First Tastes Baby Cafe Picton CC 22nd November. Weaning advice session for babies from 6 months. Book

Wednesday 10am-11am All About Baby Picton CC Fun session for parents with babies under 1 year, to enjoy stimulating and age appropriate activities. Book
Wednesday 1.30am-2.30pm Owl Babies Storytime Event Picton CC 5th October. Explore stories to help support your child to learn and develop. Book
Wednesday 1.30pm-2.15pm Sharing Stories Picton CC 3 week course starting 2nd November. Each family will receive a free resource pack. For children aged 2-4 years. Book
Wednesday 1.30pm-2.30pm Stickman Storytime Event Picton CC 7th December. Explore stories to help support your child to learn and develop. Book
Thursday 9.15am-11.45am Women's Power Programme Picton CC 4 week course starting 8th September. Looking to make life changes? Need a confidence boost? Run by the Women's Organisation. Limited creche places available. Book

Thursday 1.30pm-3pm SWAN Picton CC 3rd November, 1st December. A support group for families of children with additional needs. Invite only
Thursday 1.30pm-3pm Development Matters Picton CC 15th September and 17th November. Do you have concerns about your child's learning or development? Come and have a chat with our Special Educational Needs worker.  Book
Friday 10am-10.45pm Time to Sign Picton CC Children and parents sign, play and laugh while learning British Sign Language. Book
Friday 11am-4pm Life Rooms Pathway advisors Picton CC Drop in for parents who need advice and support with any issues that affect your day to day life such as finances, housing, employment etc. Delivered by Mersey Care. For more information call 0151 478 6556. Drop in

  • Breastfeeding Support and Advice – if you need support or advice please ring 233 1200.
  • Healthy Start Vitamins and Drops - you can redeem your Healthy Start vitamin vouchers at our reception desk. We can also provide a Healthy Start application form for anyone who may be eligible to apply.
  • Lending Library - includes a wide range of quality books including dual language books for your child to borrow and take home, for FREE for up to one week. Enjoy sharing books together.
  • Reading Pledge - sign up and receive your FREE pack. This entitles your family to borrow reading resources for up to one week, which are specifically put together for your child’s age and stage of development.
  • Smoke Free Liverpool - if you would like support to stop smoking please speak to a member of staff who can refer you.
  • Special Educational Needs and Disabilities - if you need advice or support about your child’s development, behaviour, sleep pattern or any speech and language issues please contact Irene or Lauren.
  • Volunteering Opportunities - we can offer parents valuable work experience within our centre. For more information please ring 233 1200.
