Children and families
Winter Holiday Activities and Food Programme
Children and young people will be able to access hundreds of activities throughout the winter break including sessions for children with SEND or additional needs, at no cost to you. The programme starts on the 23rd December 2021.
What's on offer?
The Winter Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Programme offers a great range of activities across the city including boxing, trampolining, football, music, dance, Christmas parties, cycling, cooking, climbing, films, bowling, arts and crafts, drama, trips out, yoga, circus skills and much more.
Every day there will be a meal available for every child that attends.
Who can join in?
The HAF programme is designed for children who receive benefits-related free school meals but places are available for other children too.
How can I find out about sessions?
When you have chosen an activity, you will need to contact that organisation to book a place. If your child has any additional needs or dietary requirements then please discuss this with the organisation when you book.
For more information about an activity please call the provider directly. You can find all the provider details on the Merseyplay website.
Liverpool City Council is working with the local schools, voluntary and community organisations, and childcare providers to provide the HAF programme. The programme is funded by the Department for Education.
