'Let’s help' charity scheme
Liverpool City Council is changing the way our employee charity scheme works.
Previously, our staff would vote for one charity a year to receive all the money raised from staff fundraisers and activities held throughout the year.
We want to reach out to a wider range of community-based charities across Liverpool to support more local residents.
Our new scheme will be called 'Let’s help'.
How it works
On quarterly basis throughout 2020/21, local charities will be invited to apply online to receive a lump sum of funding through the council’s Let’s help scheme.
This means there will be four windows of opportunity in which charities can apply and four charities will benefit during the financial year.
Once a charity has been selected they will receive the monies raised through council staff fundraising initiatives during that quarter. Please note the funding amount will vary from quarter to quarter depending on how much has been generated by staff.
How to apply
Before submitting an expression of interest, the charity you are applying on behalf of must be located within Liverpool.
All applications received before the deadline will be assessed by our team of staff Charity Champions. They’ll make a decision based on the positive outcome the funding will have on local residents.
Our champions will be looking for local causes that will help make a change for those in Liverpool who are most in need.
All expressions of interest must be received before 5pm on Monday 23rd March 2020.
If you are not successful please don’t let this deter you from resubmitting your application when the next round opens.
All information collected in the application form will be:
- used to inform the decision making process for the allocation charitable funds
- processed in accordance with GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018 and will not be shared
- stored securely for a maximum of 12 months and destroyed afterwards
