How to get tested

Symptom-free testing for frontline workers
How to get tested if you are a frontline worker, unpaid carer or a returning university student and have no symptoms.
Who can get tested?
The centres on the map below are open for frontline workers with no Covid-19 symptoms to get tested. These are workers who cannot work from home and also have physical contact with other people as part of their job. They include:
- NHS and care workers
- school staff
- supermarket employees
- delivery drivers
- factory workers
- transport workers
Students who are returning to university and unpaid carers with no Covid-19 symptoms can also get tested. Covid-19 symptoms are a high temperature, a new continuous cough, and loss or change to your sense of smell or taste.
If you are not a frontline worker there should be no reason for you to need a symptom-free test during lockdown, however, you will not be turned away.
Companies registered in England that employ over 50 people where staff cannot work from home, can apply for testing kits for their staff.
Do I need to book a test?
No. You can visit any centre during the opening times next to each centre. You just need a mobile number or email address to register when you arrive.

You can no longer get a home testing kit if you have no symptoms, they are reserved for people with symptoms.
