Labre House night hub

Labre House is a night hub open from 8pm to 8am, 365 days of the year and provides a safe and warm environment for the city’s rough sleepers.

Access to the shelter means that our rough sleepers now have somewhere to go 24/7, with day care available at The Whitechapel Centre

How to access the night shelter

If you would normally be sleeping rough for the night, just turn up at the shelter on Camden Street, and our staff and volunteers will help you. Any rough sleeper will get help and we won’t turn anyone away - not even your dog. Whatever your circumstances, there’s always room inside.

If you see rough sleepers on the street, tell them about Labre House and the services it provides and get in touch on 0300 123 2041. Our outreach support workers will do the rest.

Support we give

Support workers and volunteers at both Labre House and The Whitechapel Centre can provide practical advice and support to help you get back on your feet.

As well as a place to sleep, we also offer:

  • access to showers
  • clean clothing
  • access to computers or phones to help you keep in contact or get back in touch with family or friends
  • housing support and benefits advice
  • outreach teams and substance and alcohol support
  • GP and other health services
  • help to failed asylum seekers with no access to public funds

How you can help

Both Labre House and The Whitechapel Centre welcome any help and support you can provide to the city’s homeless and rough sleepers. The Whitechapel Centre has a list of goods they do and don’t need and you can also make a donation online.
