Anglers' terms of registration

  1. All casual Anglers who use the facilities at Liverpool Park Lake sites are required to be registered with the City Council.
  2. Only by Registering, can anglers gain the “authority”and “permission” to fish Liverpool's Lakes.
  3. Following Registration, the applicant will receive by mail a Registration Card that will contain a unique Registration Number.
  4. Anglers that are not registered and are found to be fishing Liverpool's Lakes will be deemed to be fishing without permission and therefore may be removed from the Ground and/or subject to appropriate penalties on the basis of their non compliance with the bye laws and/or obstruction of officers of the Council.
  5. Registration is FREE and is automatically renewed on 1st April each year, at the discretion of the Council. If your details change you must inform us by e-mail or through Liverpool Direct, quoting your Registration Card number.
  6. Registrants will be required to show their Anglers Registration Card upon demand by any Officer of the Council. If, upon request an Angler fails to show his card he/she will be deemed to be fishing without permission and therefore may be removed from the Ground and/or subject to appropriate penalties on the basis of their non compliance with the bye laws and/or obstruction of officers of the Council.
  7. Any Registered Angler who is deemed to have contravened the Terms of Registration, including breaches of the Code of Conduct or/and bye laws will be deemed to be fishing without permission and therefore may be removed from the Ground and/or subject to appropriate penalties on the basis of their non compliance with the bye laws and/or obstruction of officers of the Council. Further, Registration will be cancelled without appeal until the next Registration deadline when a fresh application can be made.
  8. Only Registered persons may fish or take part in any pre-arranged Fishing event that is resourced, sponsored or endorsed through the Council or its Agents, including Friends Groups or Partners.
  9. The Council reserves the right to amend or withdraw all or part of "authorities" or "permissions" without notice, if in the judgement of the Council Public Health and Safety may be compromised or when lake improvements or emergency works may take priority.
  10. All Registrants will be required to hold a National Rod Licence issued by the Environment Agency.
