St Nicholas Church Gardens
Part of the Castle Street conservation area, St Nicholas Church Gardens is a popular lunchtime venue on warm days, providing stunning views across the Mersey.
The church is said to have been a place of worship since 1257 and is still an active parish church today.
The former churchyard was transformed into a public garden and provides an oasis of calm in the heart of the city's business district.
The gardens have an active Park Friends Group.
Gardens open all year round.
Access to the church and gardens is via Great Crosshall Street.
Parks Friends Groups actively contribute to the upkeep of parks and activities. Please get in touch if you want to know more about this group.
