Then and Now memories talk, 30th April at Norris Green Library
Remember how things used to be before people were relocated out of the city?
Ken Rogers, author of 'The Lost Tribes of Liverpool' is giving a free talk and big screen photographic presentation at Norris Green Library on Monday 30th April at 4pm.
This talk accompanies a photographic exhibition which will open on 29th April. The exhibition tells the story of life in Liverpool's inner city streets before and after the clearances of the 1960's and 1980's, clearances that affected 200,000 people and brought thousands to suburb estates like Norris Green.
The modern mirror image photos, taken by Mark Loudon, highlight the transformational change that has taken place in what is now the spectacular modern day Everton Park where summer wildflowers have now replaced the former concrete jungle of back-to-back houses.
Talk begins at 4pm. To book your free place contact Norris Green Library on 0151 233 3069 or email@example.com.
