North Liverpool Key Corridor Scheme
Start Date: Spring 2017.
Duration: Two years.
North Liverpool Key Corridor (NLKC) is a major scheme which will create a modern fully ‘dualled’ road link on the A565 Great Howard Street and Derby Road between Sefton and Liverpool.
New and improved cycling routes on Regent Road, reduced congestion, improved local access and east-west movement will also strengthen the connections between Liverpool and Sefton.
The scheme will also support the development projects being undertaken by Liverpool Waters, North Liverpool Regeneration and the SuperPort.
At this stage, work will be carried out during the day using lane narrowing without needing to close the road. If we do need to close the road, for instance during resurfacing works, this will take place during the night when the road is much quieter.
Throughout the scheme, there will be a clearly signposted diversion route on the road and we’ll keep you up to date with the progress of the scheme on these pages and via our Facebook and Twitter accounts.
