Request a new food hygiene rating

You will need to request and pay for a reassessment using the form below and provide evidence that you have made the improvements we listed at your last rating inspection.

If you have made the required improvements, you can request a revisit at any time after the statutory inspection.

Book a revisit

We charge £218 for this service, this is a non-returnable fee that must be paid when you submit your online request. You must provide details of the improvements you have made, including supporting evidence, where appropriate.

Request and pay for a revisit online

Read our privacy notice which tells you how we use your data.

There is no limit to the number of requests you can make but we will charge the £218 fee each time.

What happens next?

If we think the evidence given demonstrates you have made the improvements we asked you to carry out, one of our environmental health officers will make the visit unannounced.

We will give you a ‘new’ food hygiene rating based on the level of compliance that is found at the time of the re-assessment - you should be aware that your rating could go up, down or remain the same.

What if I am unhappy with my revised rating?

If you are unhappy with your revised rating, you have the right to appeal.
