Our Single Equality Scheme, which has been developed in consultation with our staff and citizens, is the delivery plan for our Equality and Diversity Policy Statement and it sets out what we intend to do to tackle inequality experienced because of age, disability, gender reassignment, pregnancy and maternity, race, marriage and civil partnership, religion or belief, sex (gender), sexual orientation, and social and economic status.
Our Scheme focuses on five equality objectives and includes an action plan of how these will be delivered:
