Appeal a planning decision

If we refuse planning permission, you may be able to make changes to your application for it to be granted. Get in touch with your planning case officer to discuss this.

If you don’t want to make changes to your application, you can appeal to the Planning Inspectorate within 6 months of the date on the decision notice we sent to you.

Only the person who made the application can appeal. If you didn’t apply, you can comment on an appeal instead.

We advise you to read the planning appeal guidance on GOV.UK before submitting your appeal.

You’ll be prompted to register for an account if it’s the first time you have made an appeal.

If you have been issued with an enforcement notice and wish to appeal see our enforcement appeals page.
