- Children's centres A range of free services for children under 5 and their families.
- Nursery and childcare providers Search online or contact the Liverpool Family Information Service to find childcare providers in Liverpool.
- Wraparound childcare places These places are for primary-school-aged children, before and after the school day during term time. More places will be available from September 2024.
- Funded childcare - age 3 to 4 All children aged 3 to 4 are entitled to 15 hours of funded childcare per week. An additional 15 hours per week is available for eligible working families.
- Funded childcare - age 2 2-year-olds with additional needs or those from vulnerable and disadvantaged families are entitled to 15 hours funded childcare per week.
- Funded childcare - age 2 and under Working families of younger children can access 15 hours of funded childcare per week, increasing to 30 hours per week by September 2025.
- Early Years Pupil Premium Providers of funded early years education can claim an Early Years Pupil Premium (EYPP) of up to £570 per year.
- Disability Access Fund The Disability Access Fund (DAF) helps early years providers support children with disabilities or special educational needs.
