Invest in urban clean energy
Liverpool is taking bold steps toward clean, local energy for homes and businesses, creating major investment opportunities in the city.

To achieve this, Liverpool requires major private investment alongside public support. We are exploring partnerships with institutional investors, including pension and insurance funds, as well as other commercial investors and property owners.
Adopting a localised energy model
Clean energy is abundant and becoming more affordable every year as technology advances. This dynamic is vital for any sphere of economic activity because energy is the foundation of modern economy.
But urban energy is also local energy: supply and consumption are co-located – which is very different from buying in power generated elsewhere in the more familiar, centralised energy model.
A localised energy model, where energy is generated and consumed in Liverpool, can bring economic, educational, and employment benefits to the city.
Each investment in urban energy is a direct investment in Liverpool’s future – boosting jobs, businesses, and sustainable infrastructure.
Where are we working?
We’re currently focusing on two key areas that have the potential to host large-scale clean energy assets, providing sustainable heating, power and EV infrastructure. These areas are Liverpool City Centre and Newsham Park.
Could you invest?
Our project, led by New Resource Partners and sister company Regent Capital, is actively engaging with local and national investors. We want to understand how urban energy investment can align with your expectations for returns and risk management.
