We offer a range of benefits to help make fostering a positive experience.
Financial help
You’ll get a weekly allowance for the child, and a weekly foster carer fee. In addition, you won't have to pay any council tax. Other financial help includes the benefits below.
- Up to £500 One-off allowance for essential furniture and equipment
- An emergency clothing allowance up to the value of £100
- A uniform allowance when a child moves to a new school
- £100 On the young person's 18th birthday
- Discount cards for nationwide savings
- Reduced Costco membership
Leisure and lifestyle perks
We'll give your whole household free membership at Liverpool’s Lifestyles Centres. You can also benefit from caravan breaks at Presthaven. Our team will also:

- send you monthly newsletters
- invite you to join forums to keep you connected
The support we give
Our team will ensure you have a fostering social worker and access to family support workers.
Duty workers are on hand during office hours and there's 24/7 emergency support.
Peer and professional support
We'll link you up you a foster carer mentor and peer support groups. We'll also make you a member of FosterTalk, and you can join our Foster Care Association.
You'll be given access to resources from:

- YPAS for wellbeing
