Stoneycroft and Knotty Ash Children's Centre

We provide free weekly fun activities for parents, carers and their children and support and advice for families and expectant parents.

If you've never used a children's centre before you'll need to register your details before accessing services. Complete your registration online or visit your nearest children's centre to register.

  • Early Communication

    Various locations

    A language enrichment group for children aged 2-3 years. Please speak to your health visitor to be referred or contact the centre to discuss your concerns.

  • Story Time

    Old Swan Library, L13 5XG

    Encouraging speech and language development through informal sessions of songs, rhymes, stories and crafts.

  • Joseph Lappin Food Union

    Mill Lane, Old Swan

    A community centre with food club for people in the Liverpool 13 area who need support. 10 items for £3.50. Contact them for further information and eligibility on 0151 222 3507.

  • Baby Massage

    A 4-week programme to discover how to massage your baby which supports bonding and also baby's emotional and physical development. Suitable for age 6 weeks plus.

  • Big Help Project

  • Introducing Solid Food

    Stoneycroft CC

    Provides information on introducing solid foods to your baby. Session includes nutritious meal ideas.

    A group for parents and babies under 1 year. Meet other parents and babies. Stimulating, age-appropriate activities and resources every week.

  • Baby Yoga

    Suitable for babies aged 3-8 months to move their bodies in stretches and holds that can help posture, circulation and development.

  • SWAN Group Support with additional needs

    Stoneycroft CC

    If you have a child with additional needs, come along to a safe and stimulating environment. Parents and carers receive guidance from our experienced team and other specialist agencies. Your children can enjoy activities and meet new friends.

    A 6 week course for parents/carers of babies 0-12 months. Each session covers a different theme which you can use to make a memory book of high points in your baby's life.

  • Tiny Tasters and Mighty Movers

    Stoneycroft CC

    An accredited course for children aged 18 months to 5 years. Aimed to promote healthy eating and physical activity. Come along and make some healthy recipes then get them moving and grooving, exploring movement and music.

Are you pregnant?

If you're expecting a baby and would like to be shown around our centre or book onto our ante-natal sessions, contact the centre for an appointment with our health promotion workers.

We also offer one to one support for pregnant teenagers and teenage parents.
