Children and families

Holiday activity hub

During school holidays children and young people aged 5-16 years old, including children with SEND or additional needs, can access free activities and a meal.

What's on offer this holiday?

Our Easter programme is for children and young people from reception age to 16 who qualify for benefits-related free school meals. This programme starts on Tuesday 2th April 2024.

There’s a great range of free activities on offer across the city including Easter Egg hunts, Easter parties, bubble football, nerf wars, mindfulness, swimming, football, music, dance, cycling, gymnastics, theatre tech, cooking, discos, podcasting, arts and crafts, drama, basketball, trips out and nature walks.

Every day there will be a range of fabulous meals available with many schemes holding family events as well. There's also provision for children with SEND or additional needs at no cost.

Who can join in?

The programme is designed for children who receive benefits-related free school meals, but places are available for other children too.

How can I find out more about sessions?

When you have chosen an activity, you will need to contact that organisation to book a place.

Each organisation will have either a telephone number, email address or online booking system. If your child has any additional needs or dietary requirements then please discuss this with the organisation when you book.

Liverpool City Council works with Mersey Play Action Council local schools, voluntary and community organisations, and childcare providers to offer this programme.
