What are we consulting on?

The council has made a compulsory purchase order (CPO) seeking to acquire ownership of 7 Beaconsfield Street, Liverpool, L8 2UU. The property has been lying vacant for a number of years and the council intends to reuse or redevelop the property for housing.

Alternatively, you can ask to view the documents at: Legal Services, Liverpool City Council, Cunard Building, Pier Head, Water Street, Liverpool, L3 1DS, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, Monday to Friday (not Bank Holidays).

How to comment or object

Any objection to the order must be made in writing to the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, National Planning Casework Unit, 5 St Philip’s Place, Colmore Row, Birmingham B3 2PW.

Objections must be made in writing before 24th May 2025 and should state the title of the order, the grounds of objection, and the objector's address and interests in the land.

What happens to my views?

Any objections lodged with the Secretary of State will be considered by them before they decide whether to confirm the order.
