What are we consulting on?

The council’s current standard conditions for all private hire operator and private hire vehicles have been in place since 1st January 2017, and they now need to be reviewed and revised.

What happens to my views?

Once the consultation has been completed, all information received will be restricted the licensing team, trade union representative, committee members and our legal officer.

The responses received will be summarised and be compiled into a report which will be given to the licensing committee for their decision.  

Your comments may be included within the report, but this will be done anonymously. Once a decision has been made by the committee, all new conditions will be published on this website.

All information received from the consultation will be kept for a maximum of 12 months and then destroyed.

What happens next?

A report will be complied with all the consultation responses and put to committee for a decision, and will be implemented within six months.
