Consultation on proposed new SEND Primary School on Land at Colwell Road, Liverpool

Start date: 1st May 2025
End date: 30th May 2025

What are we consulting on?

Liverpool City Council are proposing to submit a planning application for a new primary school for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) on Land at Colwell Road, Liverpool.

Ridge and Partners LLP (ridge.co.uk) are a multi-disciplinary consultancy who have been appointed by Liverpool City Council to develop the scheme for the new school through to the submission of a planning application.

The proposals seek to relocate the existing Princes Primary School from four sites across Liverpool, to a single site as well as allowing for an increase in pupils numbers to 250.

The proposals will provide a purpose-built single storey school which is fully accessible for all. The scheme includes the provision of a parking area and mini bus drop off/ pick up area to the front of the site, along with extensive areas of open space.

The school has been designed with input from the existing Princes School and other stakeholders.  We are now providing you with additional information on the proposals and are seeking your feedback.
