Pride in Place

Pride in Place - Speke East

If you live or work in the Speke East area, or have a close connection to it, help make your neighbourhood a better place and register your interest in joining our Neighbourhood Board.

Pride in Place board members are a group of local people who listen to the community, make plans and decide how funding is used to improve and develop your local area.

Who can join?

You can join if:

  • you live or work in the Speke East area, or if you own a business in or near the area
  • you have a close connection with Speke East - for example, using facilities or supporting family members who live in the area

You don't need any particular qualifications or experience, but you do need to have good local knowledge.

What do board members do?

As a board member, you will be expected to:

  • attend meetings, listen to others and share ideas
  • make decisions on how Pride in Place money is spent
  • act with honesty and integrity
  • help to improve Speke East
  • declare any conflicts of interest

We will provide support and training, and you may be covered for travel or childcare costs.

Get involved

Improve your local area, learn new skills and most importantly, make sure local voices - including yours - are heard!

If you are interested in getting involved and becoming a board member, register your interest by 25th May 2026.
