Performance - How do we measure up?

We use performance management to ensure that we are delivering value for money and efficient, effective services for our residents that have been set out in the City Plan.

In addition to the City Plan, we monitor key metrics that have been set as priorities in the:

  • Council Plan - outlines a vision for a trusted, aspirational and learning council, enabling a thriving and sustainable city for everyone.
  • Strategic Improvement Plan - the council's response to the Best Value Inspection Report. It provides a whole council approach to improvement, which is necessary to re-establish Liverpool as a leading local authority, delivering the highest quality services and improving outcomes for all residents.

Performance Framework

Using the Performance Framework, we can measure our current activity in a more objective way to ensure we can reach the goals that have been set for us as an organisation.

Current performance reports

The Local Government Association (LGA) Research has created a headline report with a dashboard view of comparable value for money and performance data for Liverpool City Council. View the headline report on the LGA website.

Future plans for performance

We will be setting up regular reporting systems which will include monthly, quarterly and annual reports. These will be produced alongside an interactive dashboard that is currently under development.
