Who is the Data Controller for the information I provide?

Liverpool City Council is the data controller for any person information you provide.

Why we collect your data

Providing your information allows us to deal with the pest nuisance you have requested assistance with. Your information will be used to make sure that your application is dealt with properly.

What is the legal basis for collecting and processing this data?

We are required to collect data to fulfil our legal obligations and official public tasks as a public authority, provided for within Articles 6 and 9 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and to deal effectively with your query.

Information we may collect

If you book a pest control appointment, we will collect the following data:

  • Your name
  • Your address
  • Your contact details
  • Your business premise (for commercial appointments)

Do I have to provide this information and what will happen if I don’t?

This information is required to ensure that you are entitled to receive the service you have requested for your property. If this information is not provided, we will be unable to attend at your residence.

Who will your information be shared with?

Your information will be shared with the pest control offers who will be assigned to visit your property in order to assess and administer pest treatment. It will also be shared with contact centre staff so that they can answer any questions relating to your booking or enquiry.  Please read the contact centre privacy notice in addition to this notice.

How long will you keep this information for and why?

We will only keep your information for as long as it is required to deliver the services that we provide, and you have requested. Please see What we do with your data for the council's full retention schedule.

How will my information be stored?

Your information will be stored on a secure, password protected database and Jadu CMS.

Will this information be used to make automated decisions about me?

No.

Will my data be transferred abroad and why?

No.
