Sudsidy control notice

In some instances depending on the nature of your application, the receipt of grant may be subject to the Subsidy Control Act 2022 (the “Act”).

Where the grant is subject to the Act, Liverpool City Council is proposing that the grant is made by way of a Minimum Financial Assistance (MFA) subsidy under the Subsidy Control Act (2022), subject to your agreement to, and compliance with, the terms and conditions of the grant funding application and the grant agreement to be ultimately entered.

Before making the any payment, the Council may require further detail and assurances that receipt of the payment applied for will not exceed your MFA threshold of £315,000 in MFA subsidies or comparable types of subsidies received (see section 42(8) of the Subsidy Control Act) which is cumulated over this and the previous two financial years, as specified in section 36(1) of the Subsidy Control Act (2022).

For the purposes of this application and this question, you must confirm on behalf of your organisation that receipt of grant applied for (MFA) from Liverpool City Council will not exceed your organisation’s MFA threshold specified in section 36(1) of the Subsidy Control Act (2022) and detailed above.

Confirmation must be provided by someone who is authorised to do so on behalf of your organisation, and where there is doubt as to if you are over the applicable threshold, or anywhere close to it by virtue of successfully receiving the grant applied for, you must email childcaregrants@liverpool.gov.uk immediately who will make further determinations.
