Where possible, derelict properties will be refurbished and brought back into use. 

The construction of new housing on brownfield sites will target dereliction in the city.

Achievements

  • 2,000 properties on site across the city.
  • £14million secured to bring empty homes back into use in Anfield Village, Tuebrook and Stoneycroft, south Liverpool and Kelvin Grove/Welsh Streets.
  • Search underway for housing partner to deliver 1,500 new homes and refurbish another 1,000.
  • 70 per cent of residents have backed plans for new homes in the Welsh Streets.
  • Homes for a Pound pilot project underway to bring empty properties back into use.
