Everyone should have the opportunity to live in a pleasant and affordable home in a thriving and attractive neighbourhood.

Where possible, derelict properties will be refurbished and brought back into use. 

The construction of new housing on brownfield sites will target dereliction in the city.

Achievements

• 2,000 properties on site across the city.

• £14million secured to bring empty homes back into use in AnfieldVillage, Tuebrook and Stoneycroft, south Liverpool and Kelvin Grove/Welsh Streets.

• Search underway for housing partner to deliver 1,500 new homes and refurbish another 1,000.

• 70 per cent of residents have backed plans for new homes in the Welsh Streets.

• Homes for a Pound pilot project underway to bring empty properties back into use.
