Report a missed bin

If you think we have missed your bin by mistake, you can report it online. When you report a missed bin, we will check our records and, if we have refused to collect it, we will tell you why.

Bins we won't collect

We may not be able to collect a bin or refuse to empty it for a number reasons. 

• We found the wrong items in your bin — this is referred to as a 'contaminated' bin. Find out more in 'Why wasn't my bin emptied'.
• Your bin was too full
• Your bin was too heavy
• Your bin was not out in time or in the right place
• Your green bin subscription has expired — pay for or renew your green bin subscription

We do not collect side waste — extra bags of general waste or recycling left next to your bin on collection day.

Before you report a missed collection

Before you report a missed bin collection, please check that:

• Your bin was put out before 6:30am.
• It was presented on the correct collection day.

Communal bins

Communal bins are emptied every two days. You can also report a communal bin that needs emptying — find out more about communal bins.
