Memorial Masons Charter
You must be a member of the council's Memorial Masons Charter to carry out work within our cemeteries, and to apply for the installation of a memorial on behalf of a customer.
To become a member of the charter, you must provide copies of:
- your employers and public and product liabilities insurance cover (minimum £5 million cover for one claim).
- your National Association of Memorial Masons (NAMM) certificate or registration number.
If you are not a member of NAMM you must agree to operate by the NAMM Code of Practice.
You must not operate in our cemeteries without being a member of the council's Memorial Masons Charter or a valid permit.
How to apply
If you are a memorial mason, you can apply online to become a member of Liverpool City Council's Memorial Masons Charter.
Before you apply, please read the Memorial Masons Charter which outlines the conditions you will be expected to adhere to if operating in our cemeteries.
