Contaminated Land Inspection Strategy

The Environmental Protection Act requires all local authorities to inspect its area for the purpose of identifying contaminated land. Each local authority must develop and publish a strategic approach to identifying and securing the remediation of contaminated land in its area.

We first published our strategy in May 2002 with revisions in June 2012, November 2017 and our latest version - December 2023, which is published below.
