Environmental permit representations

Where an installation requires a permit under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2016, they must first go through the permitting application process.

For some types of applications, the general public are invited to make comments during the public consultation period.

Any comments we receive will be considered by council officers when deciding whether to grant or refuse an Environmental Permit.

We must maintain a public register containing information on installations that hold Environmental Permits.

Any comments we receive will be placed on the public register unless they include a request that this is not done. In such circumstances the register will include a note that representations have been made which are not on the register because of such a request.

We have received an application for an Environmental Permit to operate a cement process as defined under section 3.1 Part B of the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2016 as follows:

  1. Storing, loading or unloading cement or cement clinker in bulk prior to further transportation in bulk.
  2. Blending cement in bulk or using cement mixtures, the batching of ready-mixed concrete and the manufacture of concrete blocks and other cement products.

This would allow the blending, packing, loading, unloading and use the bulk cement.

The application form, site plan and further communications from the applicant can be viewed by appointment at Cunard Building, Water Street by emailing airquality@liverpool.gov.uk
