What are we consulting on?

Our city is made up of diverse communities, each bringing unique perspectives, experiences and strengths. Building strong, connected communities where everyone feels valued, safe and included is essential to Liverpool’s future. 

Your views are incredibly important. By hearing from residents across all neighbourhoods, backgrounds and experiences, we can better understand what helps communities thrive and where there may be challenges. This survey is an opportunity for you to share your voice and help shape how we strengthen relationships, promote inclusion, and create a sense of belonging for everyone in Liverpool. 

The insights gathered will directly inform the development of a new Community Cohesion Strategy for the city. This strategy will guide how local services, partners and communities work together to support a stronger and more connected Liverpool.

What happens to my views?

Once the consultation closes, results will be accessed by a restricted team of Liverpool City Council staff only.  The results will only be used to inform Liverpool City Council’s new Community Cohesion Strategy. The results will be published as part of the Strategy Framework, which is expected to be released in November 2026.

Responses will be summarised for inclusion in the report. Your comments may be included in the report, but this will be done anonymously, and no personal data is being collected. 

The data from this consultation will be kept securely for a maximum of 12 months and then destroyed.  More information can be found in the Liverpool City Council privacy notice. 

What happens next?

The results from the online engagement survey will be used alongside other engagement events to help formulate the Community Cohesion Strategy Framework, which will be presented in November 2026.
