Further to your request received by the City Council on 30th October 2023. Your request was actioned under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

What are the names of any sitting elected councillor in Liverpool who has received a court summons regarding the non-payment or late payment of Council Tax for the financial years of: 2019/2020, 2020/2021, 2021/2022, 2022/2023, 2023/2024?

Response

The City Council can confirm the following:

For the financial years stated in your request Councillor Thomas Cardwell and Councillor Lisa Gaughan have received a court summons regarding the non-payment or late payment of Council Tax.

The City Council will consider appeals, referrals or complaints in respect of your Freedom of Information Act 2000 and you must submit these in writing to Informationrequests@liverpool.gov.uk within 28 days of receiving your response.

The matter will be dealt with by an officer who was not previously involved with the response and we will look to provide a response within 40 days.

If you remain dissatisfied you may also apply to the Information Commissioner for a decision about whether the request for information has been dealt with in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
