Liverpool Census Reports
Census 2021 headline results for Liverpool are available in an interactive report, which will be regularly updated as new results are released.
What's in the report
The topics covered are:
- Population including age and sex
- Household size, composition and deprivation
- Housing type and tenure, rooms and occupancy rating
- Central heating and car ownership
- Ethnicity, religion and main language
- Health, disability and unpaid care
- Qualifications and residents in education
- Economic activity, employment history and hours worked
- Employment, occupation type, distance travelled to work and method of travel.
Using the Census report
Each topic shows results for Liverpool. Access a topic by clicking on the coloured button on the report homepage. You can navigate through the report by using the arrows at the bottom of the report pages or the page navigation at the bottom of the report.
Comparison of Liverpool's results with the results for the nine Core Cities (Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle, Nottingham and Sheffield), and with England and Wales, are available in the tooltips on most visuals. Access these tooltips by holding the mouse over the Liverpool value, without clicking.
Some visuals also have help tooltips which explain the information shown in the visual. Access the help tooltips by first clicking on the visual and then on the question mark in a circle icon, just above the visual. See the ONS Census 2021 dictionary for more information about the data.
